The Underground Youth are a Manchester based band pulling together raw post-punk sounds from the past and presenting them in a new psychedelic light. The band has released three full length LP’s in as many years through Indie label Fuzz Club Records, with these and a selection of singles and EP’s selling out their popularity has soared.
Their loyal fan base has continued to grow (their Facebook page count more then 15000 followers!) with a number of hugely successful tours through Europe and several of their YouTube videos going viral.
Combining Jesus & Mary Chain-esque walls of noise, raw energy and catchy melodies the band have developed into a captivating live experience.
They are currently in the studio recording a new LP for release in Summer 2015, with Uk / Europe tour planned.
Their latest album “The Perfect Enemy For God” was released on 12″ LP / Digital on Fuzz Club Records on August 2013.
Lead single “Rodion” strikes instantly with a humming guitar, informing the resilient backbone to Dyer’s grippingly husky vocals.
Sharing similarities with Sonic Youth’s 2006 pop record “Rather Ripped,” this track proves that post-punk is not just for the underground.
