The retroactive bohemian psych rock band BLACK LIGHT WHITE LIGHT from
Copenhagen, Denmark released the debut album “Infrared Daylight” on September 26th 2011 on the band’s own label Record Records.
Recorded in North Hollywood, CA with producer Rick Parker (Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The Dandy Warhols, Von Bondies) “Infrared Daylight” is bohemian 60’s style psych-rock with a modern Scandinavian twist packed with pop melodies in a dirty was of reverb and tremolo.
With 11 songs of compelling guitar riffs, solid backbeat and powerful pop songs with beautiful crafted harmonies “Infrared Daylight” shows a solid grounded inspiration in the 1960’s American psychedelic rock from bands like The Byrds, Jefferson Airplane and The Seeds. But the album has a modern alternative twist making them smell of the 90’s English Madchester scene and wander same musical paths like fellows The Black Angels, The Dandy Warhols and The Brian Jonestown Massacre.
BLACK LIGHT WHITE LIGHT toured US for the first time cross-country in October 2011 to follow up on a substantial growing notice in the North America music industry.
The band performed at NXNE Music Festival in Toronto, Canada and they was also officially invited to perform at SXSW 2011.
In September 2011 – just prior to the debut album release – the Danes did a short tour in UK and BLACK LIGHT WHITE LIGHT has earlier also toured around Scandinavia playing with internationally acclaimed bands like Crocodiles (US), Crystal Antlers (US) and The Soundtrack Of Our Lives (S).
Step into the light and let these Danes lead you down a road live of loud
guitars, groovy living beats and great melodies you do not want to return from.
