Madam are a 6 piece band, fronted by writer/producer Sukie Smith , who play passionate widescreen, nocturnal music.
Recorded mainly at Real World Studios (Peter Gabriel’s converted mill in Wiltshire) “Gone Before Morning” is their follow up to the universally acclaimed debut “In Case of Emergency”.
The band make a stunning soundtrack of dark foreboding sensual beauty.
They conjure songs of loss and triumph which are confessional yet secretive, fragile and powerful.
“Gone Before Morning” was initially given a D.D limited release through the Bowers and Wilkins Society of Sound Music Club. Fan funding through Pledge music meant they could produce a physical cd with art work etc and make the album available throughout the Uk and Europe.
After not a few great reviews they are releasing 3 singles the first being “Some One In Love”, out 16th September.
The album is being supported by lots of DJs including XFM John Kennedy, Steve Lemaq and Mark Radcliffe on Radio 2. Madam have also played sessions for XFM, BBC6 Music, BBC London and Resonance FM.
Used to pack on regular basis great London venues like Union Chapel, National Portrait Gallery and The Lexington, Madam are becoming favorites of European audiences as well, playing between late 2011 and early 2012 two successful Italy tours and one full week of shows in Germany.
