Levi is the solo project of Damiano Simoncini, italian musician from Pesaro already known in the international scene in the past decade as drummer and songwriter with the post-punk bands Damien* and Versailles.

Released on June 14th, 2022 by Black Marmalade Records, Synthesis follows the EP Aquarius (2019) and Liquida (2020).

Inspired by the visionary movies of Lynch, Bergman and Lang, akin to the sound ventures of contemporary composers as Oneothrix Point Never and Steve Auschildt, in love with the orchestral arrangements of the Maestro Ennio Morricone, Synthesis is the breed of the pressures and emergencies gripping both our inner and outside worlds, all related.
Heavy electronics creates almost hypnagogic states of mind, in a journey through different sub-genres looking for impossible answers about the near future.
Synthesis could be the playlist for a ghost radio station floating in deep, dark interstellar space: six tracks, less than 30 minutes, to focus the listening experience on our subjective perception of electronic-generated soundwaves.

Eurasia, like the whole album, was born during the first lockdown, in a state of global disturbance, at the same time adrenaline-charged.
In Levi’s case, this digitally shared loneliness was exacerbated by the unexpected deaths of two close friends: Andrea Guagneli (of the band’s Brothers in Law), dear friend and companion of many adventures and projects, and Mirko Bertuccioli, another musician killed by Covid-19, who’d been for many years the most active and enthusiast aggregator for the local music scene.
In this chaos of pain, anguish, melancholy and fear it came a sort of “epiphany”: the feeling that the world-as-we-knew-it changed, radically, and not just for health reasons .
I clearly perceived the ‘collision’ between two different worlds, in some ways antithetical and incommunicable, and I sounded this feeling of ‘end of epoch’ and the beginning of another, more uncertain, darker, for sure unstable and fated to a sort of final confrontation. East versus West. Europe (and the West) against Asia (and the East). Hence the name Eurasia, seeking in the semantic crasis to show how stupid and useless divisions are, and how deleterious and devastating they can become.
Eurasia sounds menacingly apocalyptic, with heavy drones building up to a psych-trance climax, with waves of sounds opening our perception, an attitude dear to musicians like The Telescopes, Sonic Boom, Dreamweapon.
The video is the recording of the live visual of the song created by Gabriele Ottino, a video artist from Turin and a member of Niagara, with whom Levi has been collaborating for years.

Noise Under Dreaming is a project born in 2006 from two musicians based in Milan, Italy.

They got spotted soon by Foolica Publishing, that in 2008 released with Foolica Electro label their first album Tarokidei.
The release created a word of mouth that gave the band the chance to play live in Italy and abroad and of working more and more frequently on soundtracks.
In 2010 Red Birds / Seahorse Recordings released the acoustic EP Objects in the mirror are closer than they appear, that features acoustic versions of some Tarokidei tracks, an idea born during an acoustic show in Barcelona.
In September 2011 a short movie with Noise Under Dreaming’s original soundtrack, G: The Other Me by Michele Coggiola, was screened at the 68° Venice Film Festival.

In 2012 Red Birds / Seahorse Recordings released their second LP In Mine, which got very positive reviews.

Meanwhile they were still composing soundtracks, also working with the Oscar Prize winner Gabriele Salvatores for
Siberian Education in 2013.

On April 7th, 2022 Noise Under Dreaming release digital their third LP Lone. again with Seahorse Recordings.

Previously the duo used to write songs while being based in different places and interacting through technology, but this time the plan was to compose and record together. Pandemic gave a slight detour to the schedule, and some of the original tracks became more destructured in the process.

The crowd’s noise – and the solitude amongst the crowd – which was the trading mark of their previous releases, somewhat stopped, because there was no more crowd, but only solitude.

In this new quietness, without background noise, the instruments – guitars, bass, synth, percussion – are finally clean and clear, shaping the songs.

Released digitally on April 07th, 2022 and with cd digiapck following in June, by Seahorse Recordings, Lone is  the third album for Noise Under Dreaming, and is now finally available on cd dgipack, with colours highlighting the summery blue mood of these nine songs.
The duo from Milan anticipated the album with the single Nothing to Say, a guitar driven song, where chords build up an emotional loop, until the final chorus reaches the climax
It’s a song about young adults, seeing the disintegration of the values they grew up with, while facing new truths hard to cope with.

Released April 29th, 2022NO VAX (What’s Inside?) is the brand new single by Border., following their notorious debut EP We Don’t Exist (September 2020), which featured the radical LGBT dance anthem Double Rainbow.
NO VAX is a powerful techno-punk ritual, aiming to exorcise in an ironic way the nightmares of the pandemic’s everyday life.
A super-acid sound booms overwhelmingly, in a game of synths and “glitch” filters, all over Erika’s voice reciting as a kind of litany the list of Covid’s vaccines, variants, masks, Green Pass, etc. You can feel the not-so-subtle sarcasm about No Vax people, their conspiracy’s theories and their surreal skepticism against science.
In the very end, we just have to dance while we can, as much as we can.

The video was created by Veronica Fausti combining graphic video editing programs, such as Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro, with Procreate digital drawing software. The beats of the music enhance the acid rave style of the video, with distorted effects and RGB Glitch. The drawings are inspired by the No Vax propaganda, questioning the efficacy, purpose and composition of vaccines. It’s a stroboscopic journey, as if vaccines were comparable to drugs and their hallucinogenic effects.
The “mouth” is the predominant element, because this issue has been and is “on everyone’s lips”.

Border. – A short bio

Border., it’s written just like that, with the final dot indicating that there are no borders, in geography as in art.
Border. has an extreme sound, without compromise, obsessive rhythms that summarize the last forty years of punk and industrial, a perfect synthesis between Siouxsie, The Prodigy, The Cramps, Atari Teenage Riot.
The duo was born from the meeting between Demi More and Erika Spada in 2017 in the cult place of Bologna’s counterculture, via del Pratello; they found out they were both passionate about electronic music, post punk, garage rock and both have had many experiences in the field of music, theater and performance arts.
Demi was invited in 2012 to perform at the German Lollapalooza, and Erika had several collaborations as a playwrighter and actress – as Peraspera Festival. Demi was looking for a voice to complete his musical delirium and so the deal was done.
In September 2020 they released the WE DON’T EXIST – EP, recorded with the skilful production of Gianluca Lo Presti in the Loto Studio in the province of Ravenna.
The EP encloses the single Double Rainbow,  which caused quite a storm getting airplay and coverage all over the globe, from The States to France, from the Uk to New Zealand. The track was a radical manifesto in support of civil rights, paired by a video juxtaposing images of Trump, The Pope, Pride Parades and tribal dances, defined by Ice No Fruits blog “a technicolour maelstrom”.

After two years of pandemic, Border. now return with a new single, which is not by chance called NO VAX (What’s Inside?) and is again produced by Lo Presti. The release is scheduled for April 29, 2022.

Biografia
The Prodigy, The Cramps, Atari Teenage Riot.
