Madness at Home is trio born in Rome in the summer of 2019. Under the spell of artists like Kyuss, Nirvana and Melvins, they wanted to bring back that obsolete sound from the late 80’s and early 90’s.
Their sound is dirt, distorted, untrendy, the lyrics are focused on sudden feelings and repressed thoughts, flowing as a stream of consciousness without any logical meaning.
They released a first eponymous EP at the beginning of 2020 for Seahorse Recording, but were then forced to a long period of stand by due to the pandemic.
At the same time, their sound started to incorporate into the post-hardcore and alternative 90’s influences some more modern listening (Metz, Young Widows, Daughters, Unwound, Fudge Tunnel, Gilla Band), being still dirty, obsessive and distorted.
Madness at Home

At the beginning of 2022 they recorded their first full lenght album Shoelace, released by Overdub Recordings on October 14th, 2022.
Shoelace was recorded and mixed in Rome by Grop Records and Gianmarco Lauri, produced by the band itself.

The 10 tracks album is a description of endless waiting, recurring dreams, indolence and a morbid escapism where hidden desires turn into real.

Line up
Pietro Zaccari – Voice and Guitar
Andrea “D.B.” De Cave – Bass
Giulio Calamarà – Drums

Clocking at a sharp 2’02”, Wet Room is the new single (and video) taken from Madness At Home’s debut album Shoelace, released in October ’22 by Overdub Recordings.

Syncopated drumming, obsessive basslines and dissonant guitar chords push immediately into the abrasive moods of the track. It’s a flood of inputs both from the brain and the external world which paralyse mind and body, while machine-gun guitars open up a grotesque post-punk new world.
Wet Room stings like an Idles song played by Nirvana.
Also for fans of Metz, Young Widows, Daughters, Unwound, Fudge Tunnel and Gilla Band.

Mayflower Madame specializes in cinematic soundscapes that evoke the deep woods and steep mountains of their home country Norway – dark, haunting and majestic.
They first gained international recognition with their debut LP “Observed in a Dream” in 2016, which earned them rave reviews and tours in both Europe and North America, while 2020’s long-awaited sequel “Prepared for a Nightmare” firmly established their reputation as one of the continent’s best purveyors of atmospheric psych-noir flavored with post-punk and shoegaze.

On stage, Mayflower Madame delivers a deeply engaging blend of nocturnal, smoke-laden atmospherics, driving rhythms and reverb-drenched guitars that stab and shine.
Over the past years, they have toured in the U.S., the U.K., France, Germany, Netherlands, Poland, Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary and Scandinavia.
They have shared the stage with bands like Killing Joke, Moon Duo, Psychic Ills, La Femme, Night Beats, New Candys and The Underground Youth, which further might give you an indication of their sonic landscape.

Mayflower Madame is currently working on new music and planning their next release for spring 2023.

Border. ‘s new EP Never Too Late was released Oct.16th 2022 by Elastico Records, recorded and mixed by Gianluca Lo Presti  at Loto Studio in Ravenna.

Border. have been under international focus since summer ’20, when they unleashed the radical song Double Rainbow and its blasphemous video, juxtaposing images of the Pope with Pride Parades.

With Too Late Erika Spada and Demi More keep following their passion for edgy electro, in spite of the ones saying it’s “for young ones”.

Angry guitars and repetitive beats wash away the paranoid prejudices about not being allowed anymore to do something we love because of older age.

Compared to Border. ‘s first EP We Don’t ExistNever Too Late is maybe darker, featuring even a love song, but in the electroclash’s style.
The 5 tracks include also a crazy Covid-dance, turning into groovy rhythms the madness we’ve been living through, a statement about the importance of consent in sexual relationships, plus a totally revisited cover of The Cramps’s Human Fly.

Border. – A short bio

Border., it’s written just like that, with the final dot indicating that there are no borders, in geography as in art.
Border. has an extreme sound, without compromise, obsessive rhythms that summarize the last forty years of punk and industrial, a perfect synthesis between Siouxsie, The Prodigy, The Cramps, Atari Teenage Riot.
The duo was born from the meeting between Demi More and Erika Spada in 2017 in the cult place of Bologna’s counterculture, via del Pratello; they found out they were both passionate about electronic music, post punk, garage rock and both have had many experiences in the field of music, theater and performance arts.
Demi was invited in 2012 to perform at the German Lollapalooza, and Erika had several collaborations as a playwrighter and actress – as Peraspera Festival. Demi was looking for a voice to complete his musical delirium and so the deal was done.
In September 2020 they released the WE DON’T EXIST – EP, recorded with the skilful production of Gianluca Lo Presti in the Loto Studio in the province of Ravenna.
The EP encloses the single Double Rainbow,  which caused quite a storm getting airplay and coverage all over the globe, from The States to France, from the Uk to New Zealand. The track was a radical manifesto in support of civil rights, paired by a video juxtaposing images of Trump, The Pope, Pride Parades and tribal dances, defined by Ice No Fruits blog “a technicolour maelstrom”.

After two years of pandemic, Border. now return with a new single, which is not by chance called NO VAX (What’s Inside?) and is again produced by Lo Presti. The release is scheduled for April 29, 2022.

The Prodigy, The Cramps, Atari Teenage Riot.

Paranoid Park
“Never Too Late”, il nuovo EP dei BOrder. è crudo, ma assolutamente veritiero; è arrabbiato e viscerale
Never Too Late è un lavoro coraggioso, che esprime l’assoluta indifferenza del duo nei confronti di una composizione accondiscendente.
